September Beauty Favorites

I want to start sharing my favorite beauty favorites with you all. I have always loved makeup, nail polish, hair products. There have been things that become staples, and things that get returned or thrown away. Feeling beautiful comes in different forms for each of us. That is what makes each of us unique and beautiful. For me, I love to get ready each morning. I enjoy putting on makeup and doing my hair. However, there are still days where showering and comfy clothes is all that happen! Essie Gel Couture: Back in August I had seen a post on Instagram with the most perfect pink nail polish. After some research I found Essie Gel Couture. The next time I was at a mom’s favorite store (Target) I picked up “model citizen.” It is the best bubble gum pink I have ever seen! This nail polish dries SO FAST that you can do a quick manicure in 15 minutes. I loved it so much I just picked up “stitch by stitch.” It is like the perfect muted pink for fall. All you need is your color and the clear coat. Two layers of color and a layer of clear and you are set for the next week with your nails. Having my nails painted helps me feel put together.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask: I live in Utah. It is a desert here. That means my skin is sucked dry of moisture. In the summer we spend SO MUCH time outside, and my skin needs more. Enter in the most amazing, moisturizing mask of all time. I saw this at our local grocery store and thought I would give it a try. It is not like a lot of other masks I have used. You slather this on nice and thick. Wait 10-15 minutes and wipe of the excess a little and then RUB it in to your skin. You don’t lose any of the hydration because you are leaving it on to soak in to your skin. Results: soft, plump, hydrated skin. And it smells divine.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate: At the very end of March I had to take Courtney and Alex to the airport to fly out to Washington DC for spring break. I saw a Kiehl’s store in the airport. I decided to pop in because I had heard about this “miracle oil” from several different people. I bought a small bottle and my life has been changed. I put the oil on my clean, dry skin each night before my moisturizer. When I wake in the morning my skin feels renewed. Earlier in the summer we spent the day out on our boat. I am really good about sunscreen, but this time I forgot to reapply early enough and got a burn. However, my skin on my face DID NOT peel. I credit the Midnight Recovery Concentrate with that.
