Decorating for each season is so much fun for me. Having the ability to have it naturally blend in with the rest of our home is becoming important to me. This year I gave myself a goal for my fall decor: to make it neutral. When October rolls around and I add in Halloween decor, it won’t be as neutral. However, having neutral fall decor for the season will make it not get old.
A few years ago I got these cute burlap pumpkins in the dollar section at Target. I wish they were available again this year. I also added some neutral flowers to the Longaberger Foyer Basket hanging from the shelf. (Longaberger has since gone out of business.)
This year, in the Target dollar section I found these adorable little sea foam green pumpkins. I knew they would look great on my tiered stand. The little cake stands are from Anthropologie from two years ago, but these are similar! Both the “Gather” (similar) sign and little scrolled pumpkins came from Hobby Lobby. I got a larger scrolled pumpkin as well to sit on top of the candle holder. The plaid pumpkins are actually pumpkins I bought last year and covered them in a neutral fabric. I also used some white chalk spray paint on a handful of little pumpkins that I bought years ago. I love the way they turned out!
The front entry table is my favorite, for many reasons. I made the “autumn” sign back before Claire was born. The “hello fall” pillow is also from the Target dollar section. This year I added the pumpkin pillow from HomeGoods (I love HomeGoods!). The hurricane candle holder is about 9 years old and is from PartyLite, I could not find it on their website to link it for you. I put a little wreath (the same one is at the top of the tiered stand) and a tiny nest with a sweet little bird.
