Happy Fri-YAY! I am so excited for this weekend. We don’t have anything planned. It is going to be quiet at our home. Hopefully we can snuggle up and watch a few movies.
Last Friday I was able to attend a “Favorite Things Party” hosted by my friend Dani. She hosts this party every year close to her birthday. It is one of my most favorite parties to go to! If you haven’t heard of a “Favorite Things Party” here is what it is:
Think of something that you love!
It can be a handy kitchen tool, a type of cosmetic, your favorite book, treat, or even a gift card to your favorite restaurant.
Come prepared to share with the other ladies what you love about your “Favorite Thing.” Try to think of something that most people maybe haven’t heard of or tried.
Bring three of the same item, UNWRAPPED, to send home with three other party-goers! The goal of the party is for each person to go home with three new Favorite Things to try!
*Items should be a $10 value, so each guest should bring approximately $30 worth of products, and go home with roughly the same value in new Favorite Things to try!*

What I chose to be my “Favorite Thing” is the Vibrant Sexy Hair Vivid Memory spray. It smells like heaven with the Rose and Almond Oil. It is a heat protecting spray you put on damp hair before you blow dry. It will also help your hair keep its color better if you have color treated hair.
I got three different “Favorite Things” to bring home and try! Here is what I got:
SmartWool Secret Sleuth Socks: I haven’t tried them yet, but I am excited to. Footies are my daily staple when it isn’t sandal weather.
capriBLUE Hand Lotion: This is what I imagine all warm places to smell like all the time. It is so beautiful. A little bit citrus, a little bit sweet, a lot of delicious.
Trader Joe’s Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream & Hair Mask: I have put the hand cream in my purse and it is so creamy. It doesn’t have a scent. But it has already worked wonders on my hands. I haven’t tried the hair mask yet, but I am looking forward to it.
The way that my friend Dani runs the party is you write your name on three little pieces of paper, you put two in one bowl and one in the other bowl. Each person gets a chance to tell what their Favorite Thing is and two names are drawn out of the first bowl. Then your last item goes to the table in the middle. After everyone has had the chance to share, names are drawn out of the second bowl and you get to pick what you want from all of the Things. I was drawn for the SmartWool socks and the capriBLUE lotion. I picked the Trader Joe’s items (they were part of one persons “thing”) at the end! Such a fun night. I think I might do one of my own around my birthday in the spring!
