5 years ago, yesterday, Scott flew to Seattle to spend a long weekend with my kids and I. This was his first time meeting them. We spent this day 5 years ago at the top of the Space Needle and exploring downtown Seattle in the pouring rain. Little did I know that in 5 years I would be writing this post and getting all sentimental.
4 years ago today Scott and I got married in a little ceremony we put together in less than two weeks! We were originally going to get married on the beach in Hawaii, but that plan was not working however we tried to make it happen. So we took our honeymoon in Hawaii with my two oldest, my mom and my best friend!
3 years ago today Scott and I were sealed to each other for eternity! I love that both of these happened on the same day so that we can celebrate both together.
2 years ago we celebrated our anniversary just the two of us for the first time. We went to dinner at Ruth’s Chris and loved every second of our date.
1 year ago we again were able to celebrate together. (I don’t even have a photo of us from last year!)
This year, it’s the middle of the week. Scott has meetings, we have two little kids who need to be in bed at 7:30. Maybe we will splurge on a delicious cookie and our favorite show.
I am so grateful to be sharing this life with Scott. He is a perfect balance to me. He is such a hard worker. Scott tries to learn everything he can about whatever project he is working on. He makes my dreams come true. I couldn’t ask for a better person to be mine!
