You guys, this post is so exciting!
Claire is 6! I can't believe it. I am so excited for it and we have been celebrating for the last week!
Last Saturday we had a Unicorn themed birthday party for her and some of her dearest friends. Then on Tuesday she got to celebrate at school since it is Fall Break now.
For celebrating at school we filled out a poster sent home. She colored it, we added a few photos and I interviewed her. Questions were:
How old are you? 5, but 6 on Thursday.
What do you love? Writing my name.
What is something you don't like? Spiders.
What do you want to be when you grow up? An Artist.
Tuesday afternoon I took Oliver to the store and we got 24 donuts and some Capri Suns (per Claire's request) and took them to her class at the end of the day. When we got there Claire got to share her poster with the class and tell them about it. And it was one of my proudest moments as a mother. She stood up with the microphone in front of 20 students and told them about herself. She had confidence. She was proud. She was well spoken.
When I told her how proud I was, she said with a giggle, "I was SO nervous"
But let me tell you how Claire is FUNNY.
Claire is KIND.
Claire is GOOD.
Claire is CARING.
She is the best 6 year-old I know and I am glad I am her mom.
