Disneyland Must Haves

Two weeks ago I was getting ready to take my family to Disneyland!

I have gone once before with my older kids when they were 8.5 and 11. A different experience for sure. I want to share what I took with us to the park each day and what we actually needed. I tend to be an over-packer. I want all possible options available to me.

I used Claire’s Minnie Mouse backpack for Disneyland. I put Diapers, Wipes, Changing Pad, a muslin blanket and ziplock bags in it. I had a little drawstring backpack that came with the other backpack that I put changes of clothes in for both kids. And in a third reusable tote I put fruit snacks, rice crispy treats and fruit leather. The kids also had water bottles for drinks.

I carried (I can’t even believe I am about to say this) a fanny pack. I had worked on a big even this summer and learned the value of a fanny pack as an event planner. So for my next event earlier this month I ordered the Freshly Picked Park Pack. It worked like a charm. And I knew it would be perfect for Disneyland.

In my fanny pack I carried my license, credit card, bus passes, phone, battery pack charger, gum, lotion, hand sanitizer and lip balm. Everything I needed right where I needed it.

What didn’t I use?

I used diapers, wipes, changing pad.. And I used the blanket to cover Ollie when he fell asleep a couple of times. We ate maybe 5 of the stash of fruit snacks and rice crispy treats. Seriously I didn’t need as much in the way of snacks. We also used changes of clothes. But not near what I expected.

I used everything in my fanny pack, but I kept that minimal on purpose!

What are your essentials for Disneyland?
